How academics and third sector organisations can work together
We have a Funding Accelerator event on Thursday 5th September 2019 which aims to bring together researchers and third sector organisations to see how they can benefit everyone.
By working together on project academics can offer access to different streams of funding for community projects, while third sector can give academics knowledge of the needs of communities and, through knowledge exchange, meet requirements set out in the Research Excellence Framework (REF). Plus there are myriad other mutual benefits when you collaborate which we will be discussing at the event.
If you have a case study we can use please let me know as soon as possible, and if are attending and you’d like to talk for up to ten minutes about your experience of working together then that would be even better. Contact email@example.com
There will be a period of presentations and discussions followed by activities to encourage you to discover where research and real world intersects and form ideas for projects to take forward.
This is an initial event which will be followed up with workshops and support to help you write successful bids to fund your projects.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided (including cake)
What we’ve achieved so far …
The Funding Accelerator project has already supported over 30 projects, with over £11 million of funding secured and more than £6 million still in development. Funding has been received from sources such as The National Lottery, Awards for All, The Arts Council and Innovate UK.
We would love to see you at this event, hear your experiences, and support you forming exciting collaborations and getting the funding for the projects that arise from them. Please book through Eventbrite.
